CAM 98 crossword solution – “Two Wrongs Don’t Make a Right” by Nimrod

The “two wrongs” are represented by the larger and smaller representations of X, the latter in the central square completing the name of the husband, CHICO MARX, given by letters omitted from wordplay. Extra letters in wordplay and those in the larger “X” give Chico’s denial: “I WASN’T KISSING [THE CHORUS GIRL], I WAS/ WHISPERING IN HER MOUTH.”
